MCA is a three-year curriculum designed for students interested in delving deeper into the development of computer applications using modern programming languages. Students enrolled in the MCA programme are given the opportunity to design modern software using sophisticated tools and approaches. The curriculum is spread out across six semesters, with the first year emphasizing computer skill development, the second year on a conceptual study framework, and the third year emphasizing specialties and required project work. Many institutions across the country offer Master of Computer Application programmes, which create a large number of qualified workers in the field of information technology.
Job opportunities are great after the MCA. Depending on the students’ interests, they can choose from options- System analyst, Software Engineer, Programme Manager, Internet Scholar, Web Designer, Internet expert, Database Manager.
Passed B.C.A/ B.Sc. (Computer Science)/ B.Sc. (IT) / B.E. (CSE)/ B.Tech.(CSE) / B.E. (IT) / B.Tech. (IT) or equivalent Degree.
Passed any graduation degree (e.g.: B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc / B.Com. / B.A./ B. Voc./ etc.,) preferably with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduation level Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination. (for students having no Mathematics background compulsory bridge course will be framed by the respective University/ Institution and additional bridge courses norms of the concerned University)
