Cyber security is a rapidly changing field. A security programme that aspires to be cutting-edge must have a complementary advanced programme that strikes a solid balance between theoretical and practical aspects, analytical methodologies and system architectures, academic concepts and industry practises. Enterprise Wide Security, Data Center Security, Language-Based Security, and Hardware and Embedded Systems Security are the four primary categories of Cyber Security research. These categories represent four horizontal layers of security in a typical information system/network found in today’s industrial and corporate settings. The theory and practise of authentication, authorisation, and access control techniques are also covered in this course.
