The Department of English Language and Literature provides a Post-Graduate Program in English Language and Literature. The innovative MA English curriculum gives students a thorough understanding of contemporary developments in English Language, Literature, and Theoretical Studies. The programme allows students to pursue doctoral studies in English while simultaneously preparing them for occupations that need strong critical reading and writing skills. The term projects motivate them to produce and publish articles, allowing them to gain experience in academic and research writing.
The syllabus and curriculum were created in collaboration with specialists in the field, taking into account paradigm shifts in English literary and theoretical studies. The M.A. programme is a great blend of the traditional and modern, including growing academic areas of study such as marginalised studies, post-colonial studies, cultural studies, gender studies, applied linguistics, and translation studies, as well as a large selection of specialised electives.
