Prof. R. S. Salaria is a great teacher, prolific author, excellent motivator, and an outstanding social reformer. He is an alumnus of IIT, Delhi. He is a Certified Software Quality Professional by Ministry of Information Technology, Govt. of India; Sun Certified Programmer and Trainer by SUN Microsystems, USA.
He has a rich experience of about 30+ years in the field of teaching in various prestigious intuitions including Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (Deemed University), Patiala, Punjab. He is the ultimate authority in the field of Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms. He is currently interested in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
He has authored about 24 books on Computer Science, Engineering Mathematics, and Communication Skills. His latest book was on Python programming language (Python language is the first choice for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Learning based applications). Shortly his new book on Kotlin language (Google has added Kotlin as official language Android Development) will be hitting the market. His books are recommended by various Universities/Boards/Institutions across the country. AICTE has recommended his books in the model curriculum designed for Engineering & Technology at the BE/BTech level.
He has been a key resource person for UGC academic staff colleges of various universities. He has delivered about 50+ AICTE Sponsored Short Term Training Programmes (STTPs)/Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs)/ Faculty Empowerment Workshops (FEWs). He has conducted about 80+ workshops for students. The main focus of these workshops has been on ‘Character Building’, ‘Passion for Excellence’, and ‘Building Technical Competencies’.
He is a life member of Computer Society of India (CSI), Mumbai; Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), New Delhi; Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), New Delhi; Punjab Academy of Sciences (PAS), Patiala.
