B.Tech – Automation & Robotics

Program Details:

B.Tech. in Automation and Robotics is a four years advanced graduation program that has a prime focus at integrating the advanced knowledge of robotics into the traditional systems with an aim of implementing automation in the various industries. This program bridges the gap between efficient technologies like robotics, automation and the knowledge required to implement these technologies. Robotics is a field of engineering that deal with design and application of robots and the use of a computer for their manipulation and processing. Robotics and Automation Engineering imparts the knowledge for using control systems and information technologies to reduce the need for human work in the production of goods and services. In the scope of industrialization, automation is a step beyond mechanization. Robots are used in industries for speeding up the manufacturing processes and manufacturing support system. They are also used in the field of nuclear science, sea-exploration, servicing of transmission electric signals, designing of bio-medical equipment etc.

Career prospects:

After the completion of four year B.Tech, Automation and Robotics the students can be act as a Robotic engineer, Design and Development of Robots,  Robotic Process and Automation Developer, Robotic Test Engineers, Automation System Engineers and consultant etc

Eligibility Criteria: 

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics/ Mathematics / Chemistry/Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Biology/Informatics Practices/Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject / Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/ Entrepreneurship from any recognized Board with a minimum of 45% marks or equivalent grade (40% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes)

OR

Passed min. 3 years Diploma examination with at least 45% marks,(40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category),subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
