Program Details

Agricultural Science is a multidisciplinary field that comprises of a variety of scientific, technical & business subjects. It promotes the efficient production of quality food in the agricultural-food industry & on the farm linked to the farming. The Agriculture Program at Guru Nanak University prepares students for a career in industry, private consulting, and government. The integrated curriculum is meant to address a variety of educational goals, including teaching students not just how to analyse and design a wide range of structural and environmental systems, but also how to successfully handle project management challenges. The programme will include lectures and lab practice, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, which is a critical ability for anyone pursuing Agriculture careers. Students are encouraged to enroll in common Agriculture courses that include Agronomy, principles in Genetics and Crop Improvement, Soil science and Soil Chemistry, Agricultural Marketing, Sociology, and Statistical analysis. Field visits will be available in the Agriculture curriculum to train students in practical knowledge while also boosting their managerial and entrepreneurial skills.

Passed 10+2 Science examination with PCB/ PCBM/ PCM/ 10+2 Agriculture having scored not less than 50% marks in aggregate with condition that candidates coming from different streams must take remedial courses.


Passed min. 2 years Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
